Geertruydenberg 1625
Step back to 1625, during the Eighty Years’ War (1568–1648)! Breda is under siege by the Spanish army, and Prince Frederik Hendrik of Orange-Nassau’s forces gathers in Geertruidenberg for a final, desperate push to save the city. I captured the reenactment in April, the vibrant camp life, the tension before battle, and the clash of armies.
